⛰️ Experience Level and Safety
Q6) What experience level do I need?
This varies by tour. Requirements (fitness, skills, etc.) are listed in the individual tour description. For our Ski Touring Week, you should be an advanced beginner comfortable skiing off-piste. For all tours, your guide will choose routes matching the group’s ability and conditions.
Q7) How big is the group?
Group sizes are kept small for safety and personalized attention, typically a maximum of 6 to 8 participants.
Q8) What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. Your guide will adjust the plan daily and always choose the safest and most enjoyable alternative route or activity for the given conditions.
Q9) Is this physically demanding?
Our multi-day tours (e.g., Ski Touring, advanced Hiking) require a reasonable fitness level. For the Ski Touring Week, expect uphill climbs of 600–1,200 meters per day. Day tours (e.g., City, Kayak) have varying, generally lower, demands—check the tour description for specifics.
🎒 Gear, Accommodation, and Meals
Q10) Can I rent equipment?
Yes, equipment rental is available for an additional cost for most of our experiences (e.g., skis, boots, skins, avalanche gear, bikes, kayaks).
Q11) What should I bring?
You will receive a full, detailed equipment list after booking, including clothing, necessary gear, and optional items tailored to your specific tour.
Q12) What about accommodation and meals?
This depends on the tour:
* Multi-Day Tours (e.g., Ski Touring Week): Accommodation is included. Meals are generally not included, giving you the freedom to explore local restaurants and mountain huts.
* Day Tours (e.g., Kayak, City Tour): Meals and accommodation are typically not included unless specifically mentioned in the tour details (e.g., a packed lunch).
Q13) Where will we stay?
[Specific to the Ski Touring Week] You will stay in a carefully selected, comfortable 3-star accommodation in the surroundings of Alpendorf, Ski Amadé, Austria. Location may vary but will always be ideal for relaxing after a day in the mountains.
Q14) What is included in the price?
Included services vary by experience (Guiding, safety briefings, equipment, accommodation, transfers, etc.). Please refer to the specific “What’s Included” list on the individual tour page.
